First custom maps appear!
Posted by: Netherlands Salteh (Editor) - Sunday 27 April 2008, 16:53
Beta versions of the first custom maps have been released a couple of weeks ago - Meltdown, Comm Link, Arctic Assault and Estate.

Meltdown and Comm Link are small 6v6 maps, designed for infantry only competition play. Comm Link even supports bots so you can practice on your own. The other two maps, Arctic Assault and Estate, both feature a long MCP section. Vehicles and turrets can be used on these maps.

First 2vs2 Cup ended
Posted by: Netherlands GlobalWar (Admin) - Tuesday 22 April 2008, 12:08
After a very busy weekend for our admins the 2vs2 cup is done.

We had some troube with the setup because the admins planned a double elimination cup but the QWL system only supports single elimination. Because of this we had to administrate the loser brackets on the back of a sigarbox :)
But at the end I think we can say this first 2vs2 cup was a success and I want to congratulate the winners and thank all teams that played this cup.

Winners first QWL 2vs2 Cup:

1-Europe d.
2-Jamaica iNsAnE
3-Netherlands Kut

Our next cup will be held soon so stay tuned.

Official Competition Mod Beta
Posted by: Netherlands GlobalWar (Admin) - Sunday 3 February 2008, 20:07
Finally, we have been waiting for this for months now.
There where only rumours about SD working on this but up till now there was nothing confirmed.

quote:
More immediately - and perhaps a bit more exciting - we are also wrapping up work on our competition mod. If you're not familiar with it, the main purpose of the mod is allow tournament organizers to easily implement and enforce specific rulesets. To that extent, we've stuffed quite a lot of cvar customization options in there and creating a new ruleset is as simple as putting the values you'd like to adjust in a config file on your server.
