The G11 keyboard by Logitech

As we all know many gamers LOVE to game in a dark dungeon. Personally, I prefer to keep a light on my desk as I'm often doing other work. The backlighting is something I never thought I would use. I've never been one for fancy flashing lights on my rig either, most of my money goes into increasing FPS. The backlight is a nice touch even for someone who doesn't game in the dark. The 2 separate brightness levels can even be found useful in bright gaming conditions. I played around with the G11 under various conditions, no surprise, the backlight works better in darker conditions.

The first thing that I couldn't help but notice was the large length of the G11 (measuring in at 55cmx22cm or 21.5"x8.75") in comparison to my previous keyboard. I have always been a fan of smaller keyboards due to the layout of my playing area (my mouse pad is a whopping 45cmx32cm or 18"
x12.5"). I have even gone so far as to buy laptop style keyboards in order to have my keyboard closer to my mouse pad. However, from the top to bottom the bottom of the keyboard is very short considering all the onboard options. This will be beneficial to any gamer who likes to keep their monitors closer to the edge of the desk.
